Kid waited his turn and has played some excellent football against some great receivers this year. One of my favorites on this team.

No one talks about him but he has been better in coverage than Marlon.

Way better than I anticipated. Could be a real stud next season.

Yeah he has.

Sheffield was wise to leave.

Great tackler in space and run support. It mediocre at best in coverage.

Marlon would be considered average or a litle better than average. He did great last night. Had one drop just on the right side of the receiver. AA is lights out just like I was saying early on.

I'd say that's an exaggeration. But I certainly wish his play would be considered by scouts what people around here seem to consider it, because then we'd have him back next season

He must be doing a good job as they don't throw his direction that often.

Have I been pronouncing his name wrong this whole time? Is it pronounced AV -uh -rett and not ay - ver - rett?

Knew he was capable of it.

He has been out best outside corner. Minkah has been out best DB.

Whenever teams want to pick on a player, they always choose Humphries.

I'll say this about Humphrey:

Nearly every time he gives up a catch, I swear it's either the receiver making the catch of his life, or the QB drops right in the breadbasket. That being said, it could all be fixed if he just turns his damn head!!! There has go be some sort of signal call for that right?

I know this is frustrating for fans to watch, but it is important for corners to stay focused on the receiver for as long as possible and not lose containment. Turning your head too soon can be just more dangerous than not turning your head at all. And like you said, a lot of these deep balls that are completed are simply great throws or the receiver making a great ball catch.

The thing that pisses me off in the secondary is when someone completely blows an assignment and we got a guy running wide open 30 yards down the field, like what happened with Evan Ingram in the Ole Miss game.

Averett stepped into the hole and ate a pissed off LF7 the other night too. Big play for someone his size.

Brown unfortunately took the brunt of Fournette too. Stopped him, but damn that looks like it hurt

Yeah Brown got trucked, but still made the stop. Anyone else notice Reuben Foster and Fournette jawing after that one play? Would love to know what Foster said.
