Seems a little bit early for that statement.

So did Milliner.

Though even if Brown does play I wouldn't expect much. Besides maybe the Juco guys I can't think of any first year DBs we've had under Saban who had noticeably positive impacts.

I thought Kareem was pretty solid starting as a freshman, which I think was statistically his best year. He had 3 INTS and 66 tackles. His pick vs Tennessee and blocked field goal against LSU in 2007 stand out to me.

I'd put him 2nd on the list, but as far as his physically against the run...... he operated under the justin woodall tackling philosophy - just run into them really hard and hope they fall down. Neither one of them wrapped up on a RB the entire time they were at Bama.

Dre didn't deserve the hype.

This, this, this exactly. Dre wouldn't tackle.

I'd take any of the other guys mentioned over Dre.

Not really. I couldn't count how many times other, better players had to clean up after him.

and they'd almost never go forward after he delivered a bone crushing hit.

Kikrpatrick didn't have to tackle. His swag tackled for him.

IMO, K. Jackson was the best cover corner of the Saban era. Dre and Dee were both excellent. Javy was good in the nickel and a good ball hawk.

But I'm not sure why exactly, but it seemed like the corners of the Stallings era were better at getting interceptions as well as being lock down corners. Maybe it is the offenses and qbs in the league now. Or maybe it is the defensive scheme.

Our scheme seems to get the Safeties more INTs than the CBs. "Just break it up 9/10 times".

If Dee had better hands he probably could have had some insane number of picks in 2012.

Alabama had some damn fine corners under Stallings. Antonio Langham, DeShea Townsend, Kevin Jackson, Fernando Bryant. Beasts.
