And all but Sims (with Coker TBD) spent 3 years or more on NFL rosters.

But Saban/Bama can't develop a quarterback.......

I'm surprised that McElroy had the second best year (rating wise). I knew McCarron 2012 would be the best. Didn't remember McElroy 2010 being that good. He did have a good season:

222/313 (70.9%), 2987 yards, 9.5 yards per attempt, 20 TDs, 5 INT
So efficient

McCarron 2012:

226/336, (67.3%), 2933 yards, 9.3/attempt, 30 TDs, 3 INT

Yep.

Also of note who the QB's were in the SEC at the time they played.

Probably because he took a lot of costly sacks. It was hard to blame him, because our Oline was so inconsistent, causing him to try and do too much.

Besides the sacks, though, I remember 2010 as a year where Mcleroy proved that he could make an NFL roster. He was very efficient, and consistently made throws that he wasn't able to make the previous year.

I liked GMac, but I think it took him a year to figure out how to throw to Julio...there was a game in 2009, can't recall which, where McElroy threw something like 3 straight fades to Julio in the endzone, all incomplete...all of 'em were line drive type throws, no arc at all...after the second one, Julio was smilin' joggin' back to the huddle with his finger pointing high up in the air (telling GMac to put some air under it)...even so, the last one was on a rope as well...

This is why I will never be able to take McElroy's detractors seriously. Was he the greatest QB to play the game? No. Was he absolutely terrible? Far from it. He did what Saban wanted him to. There are a few on this site (namely one) who seem to think he's the worst QB to ever play the game.

They attempted three straight fades to the left corner of the endzone to Julio against South Carolina.

That was it! Couldn't recall the exact game when I posted, but the image of Julio going back to the huddle motioning for GMac to loft the ball has always stuck with me...as well as McElroy throwing 3 straight incomplete line drives as well. McElroy improved his touch the following year, especially when throwing to Julio...
