How many starters did you return on the D side in 15 from the 14 season?

Per Phil Steele, 6. They were 5th overall in returning starters in the SEC coming into 2015.

Mills a Jr in 2014 was the only upperclassman returning on defense
White Soph in 2014
Beckwith Soph in 2014
Lacoutre Soph in 2014
Godchaux FR in 2014
Adams FR in 2014

Lost our starting SS, Sam, both DEs, and a CB

This year we bring back
Everyone on the defensive line, and I mean literally everyone, and everyone in the secondary minus Mills. We lost two linebackers in Jones and Louis, who didn't play that much since we played nickle the majority of the time.

We return the following players (using the year of eligibility listed in 2016)
SDE- Key Soph / Bower SR
DT- Godchaux JR / Herron RsJR
DT- Lacoutre SR / Gilmore RSJR
WDE- Neal SR / Clark JR

SAM- Riley SR
Mike- Beckwith SR
Will- Alexander JR / Voorhies RSSO

CB- White SR / Jackson Soph
CB- Tolliver Soph / Thomas RSSR

FS- Jefferson SR / Thompson RSSR- will move to OLB
SS- Adams Jr / Battle Soph

Why did you skip the total tackles stat? I'd love to see that.

LSU is bringing just as much talent back on defense and more talent on offense.

LSU is returning a lot of players too but there's just 1 difference. Bama's bringing back players from a SEC/NC team.

No doubt, your guys may have more experience, but LSU is just as talented

Not to mention multiple guys who passed on being top 3-4 round picks and ineligible guys who are ranked in the top 2-3 at their position.

But yea, sure, whatever LSU wants to think I guess.

I watched all 11 of those guys last season multiple times. 1-11 they just aren't. At all. In spots? Sure. Overall? No way.

I think Tennessee's defense is more talented than LSU's.

Just stop. Vols have already claimed the off season title. You Bama fans will have to settle for the regular season title. I know that's hard to hear, but I only say it because I care about your mental health. You can't beat the Vols at the off season. Just can't do it.

Hate to admit it,but you're right.

I'm not sure Tony Brown's going to end up on the chart for next year at this point.

Allen and Williams had 1/2 a sack less than #3-#9 combined. Their return is huge for the record pass rush

Anderson and Evans could sure get after the QB too - Anderson w 10 QB hurries

Wonder if 60 sacks is reachable in 2016
