What's the deal with Ermon Lane? Do we have a legit shot at him or is he going to stay instate?

again, losing stoutland is a thorn in recruiting this area down here. he is very high on Bama though. We won't be taking many more than 1 receiver next class and i don't think Lane will be one of the guys we push for unless he camps at Bama. He plays on a mediocre team and won't have great film as a result so the camp circuit will be his ticket

He is the #1 ranked WR in next year's class already.

In the glory days of the true MEGATHREAD that would have taken us 20 minutes.

mainly referring to Alabama's grade on Lane, not recruiting services grades on him, which often differ and change throughout the year. FWIW, Coach Stout already put his 2 cents in CNS's ear about Ermon and he'll likely assign someone to him immediately if he hasn;t already. I will find out from his coach who has contacted him from Bama .......UM is all over his arse though

We really need a Center. I thought we had one in Andy Dodd, but he decided he wanted to play for 3rd in the West instead of national titles.

The new guy may have a different opinion as to what Bama currently has on campus or what's coming in. I think Bozeman has potential as a Center, and he's coming in with the '14 class.

Seems like they would be, hoping they don't pitch his Mom the same line of bullshite they gave Matt Thomas' mother about staying in state they put some kinda strong hoodoo on her arse then pulling his friends offer I know you know all about that recruitment

Ermon seems like he'll be a tough pull tbh

I know this much, regardless of how Lane is rated by the talking heads when it's all said and done, his success will depend on where he lands. if he stays in Florida, he'll never live up to potential. He needs a program like Bama or at least a program with a coach who will be able to micromanage his development. He's all raw talent right now, like DGB was but we see who the best WR in the 2012 class was........

COOOOOOP!!!

but while our fan base was drooling all over DGB before signing day and i posted on "an overrated, under educated site" that Coop was better, they had a flame fest for the ages. Now they're talking about DGB going to TE and Coop was frosh all-american. When Cris Carter told Saban he was the best WR he has seen in high school in a long time, and he would regret not signing him, our fan base still couldn't let go of DGB's star rating.....

He and Cooper actually had the identical composite rating coming out.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of Eddie Jackson next year. Lot of PT is up for grabs.
