I think the Sweet 16 is a good, obtainable goal if somewhat of a challenge. Anything beyond that is gravy. Making the tourney is the minimum standard this season. If not, the temperature of Avery's seat starts to rise.

Avery has pointed to year 3 as the year we make the next jump, so we better at least make the tournament. Unless the team shows that they have the potential to make a sweet 16 run, I honestly would be just happy to get the giant monkey off our back and win at least one tournament game.
Missing the tournament as a whole would be disappointing, and really make me start questioning Avery. Hard to imagine that happening though, given that Alabama has been a fringe bubble team the first two years he's been here, and he's broke some streaks that were long overdue (beating Florida, two wins in the SECT, 4 top 25 wins, etc..).

If we don't at least make the tourney I will accept that I will forever live in Bama basketball misery. Just think, guys, if we had kept T-Ferg and if he would have been able to qualify we would have beaten Georgia, Florida, Texas, Auburn, Dayton, Tennessee and probably Oregon and Kentucky at least once. That is a tourney team and possibly a Sweet 16 team just by adding T-Ferg

Tony Bradley is staying in the NBA draft. I remember having a real shot at him. Meyer CB'd him to UA at one point. In retrospect, doubt he would have gotten us over the hump last year. Looks like Garrison Brooks will get significant PT early.

As I've said for 6 months, anything less than a solidly in tourney birth is a disappointment.

The 2017 class arrives in 4 more days. I'm so excited to finally see them on campus. Hopefully their will be a lot of talk and info when they arrive, things like jersey numbers or when the first practice is, just things like that.

Speaking of which, I got bored this past weekend so I'll be releasing a roster on NBA 2k17 for XBox One once I get all the jersey numbers. It will have our upcoming roster and collegiate rosters from last year that someone else made (too lazy to update it) if anyone is interested. If you use the MyLeague option you can change the team jerseys and courts to make it look like a legit NCAA basketball game.
