He'll take a trip to Alabama this weekend and will likely follow that up with a trip to Kansas -- where he has been unofficially -- before making his choice.
I'm not sure if they got that directly from him, but if Ferguson worded it anything like that, I feel pretty damn good about our chances.

Terrance Ferguson will be in Tuscaloosa this week and I think rush starts soon. This is your time, Zetas. #BuckleUp

It's true though. If there were ever a time for the sorority girls to prove their worth on a campus visit, it's now.

I don't frequent this thread very often. Has this been posted yet?

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- The 2015 Adidas Nations camp is drawing near an end and there are a lot of tired bodies in camp. Rising senior five-star shooting guardRawle Alkins looked like he could keep playing forever on Sunday.

Five-star shooting guard Terrance Ferguson is also very close to making a decision. He'll take a trip to Alabama this weekend and will likely follow that up with a trip to Kansas -- where he has been unofficially -- before making his choice. Baylor may also get one more visit, but for now it is looking like the Crimson Tide and Jayhawks will be battling down the stretch to land arguably the best jump shooter in the class of 2016.

FWIW, I definitely think that it is down to Alabama and Kansas at this point for Ferguson. Thanks to Avery Johnson and him being connected to grassroots scene in Dallas, Bama has been able to make up significant ground. Visit coming up this weekend will be hugely important in getting him. I would think the 'Bama staff also hopes that Ferguson will not take an additional visit to Kansas. Currently the plan is for him to visit Kansas again following his trip to Alabama.

Herard cut his list from 34 scholarship offers down to Kansas, Texas, Indiana, Arizona, California, Mississippi State, SMU, Texas Tech, Alabama and Purdue.
Now that his list is narrowed down, Herard, a 6-foot-10, 260-pound big man, is looking to set up visits. Mississippi State is set to conduct an in-home visit on September 9th. Herard will then take an official visit to Mississippi State the weekend of September 12th.
Herard is also in the process of finalizing visits to Arizona and California.

Kansas has been considered a leader for Ferguson for at least the last 7-8 months. Alabama has made a big impression but headed into this week's visit my gut would be that Alabama still has a little more ground to make up.

Avery Johnson is the man

I swear to God if Johnson lands Ferguson... That's like Saban landing Julio at the very beginning.
Posted on 8/6/15 at 8:10 am to alabamabuckeye
I think it's bigger because Ferguson is from out of state. Landing Josh Langford would have been equivalent to Julio IMO.

It's still bigger regardless of being out of state, because Alabama had a hell of a lot more prestige in football than we do in basketball right now.

Hmm I think it would've been big locally but getting this kid would blow everyones mind nationally.

As July turned to August, the Tide began to shift in the Crystal Ball for elite wing shooter Terrance Ferguson.
Without on prediction in his Crystal Ball going into July 30, Alabama has received nine of the last 10 predictions since then.
Today Ferguson, a thin 6-7 athletic sharp shooter from Dallas, Texas, is unofficially visiting Alabama. A decision between Alabama and Kansas, who at one time controlled his Crystal Ball, is expected before the end of this month and possibly at the Under Armour Elite 24 All Star Game.
The common theme regarding Ferguson on the travel circuit towards the end of July was that he was set on committing to Kansas in the spring. That announcement, however, was delayed, and now Alabama has seized the upper hand in his recruitment. The strong Texas and Mo Williams ties of Avery Johnson are serving him well. Ferguson plays AAU for a Mo Williams sponsored team.

On one of Ferguson's periscopes, you can hear Johnson tell his family that Bolden, Bradley, and Herard are our top post targets.
