I couldn't find anything on why we're playing Thursday-Saturday this weekend, so it must just be some sort of Auburn God-thing for Easter. We're actually playing Thursday-Saturday next weekend at home against Arkansas too because ESPNU is televising the game Thursday.

Pitching matchups for this weekend:

Thursday - 6 CST
Charley Sullivan (2-1, 2.92 ERA)
Conner Kendrick (2-0, 1.46 ERA)
Friday - 6 CST
Jon Keller (3-2, 2.78 ERA)
Michael O'Neal (4-2, 2.78 ERA)
Saturday - 3 CST (TV:CSS)
Spencer Turnbull (2-1, 3.31 ERA)
TBA

PSA: Remember kids, everyday is a good day to hate Auburn.

They should start alternating that nonconference auburn game between Montgomery and the new Birmingham park. Maybe we'll win that one then. Glad to see some offense

6-1 Alabama going to the ninth. Eight strong so far for Sullivan.

I agree it would be nice to have that game in Birmingham some, but I don't mind if they keep winning it if we keep winning the ones that count.

new bham park won't hold enough to let the crowds go set it..Gene Hallman addressed this today as it relates to the new bham park not being considered for future SEC tourney games

Downtown Birmingham would be a disaster for the SEC tournament

So what's the deal with this team? Just wildly inconsistent at the plate? They seem to either get shut out or score 5 or 6 runs.

Well as bigpapamac pointed out we've lost 6 of the last 7 to uab. The past 10 games (aside from uab) the offense had been on a tear. But like you said it's basically feast or famine.

It's an incredibly young team offensively, we just signed the number four class in the nation and a lot of those guys (4 start at times as freshmen) see the field a lot. Inconsistency will come with that. We've been tearing it up though recently. We're off to a great start in the league. Yea, we've played maybe three of the worst four teams, but we're 6-1 in the league and last year we only one 9 SEC games and were the worst team. Gaspard is rebuilding the program against the odds with our shite facilities. His first year we were a win from Omaha with a senior laden team, he'll get the job done with some time. This young team will likely get brought back to Earth eventually, but they've taken a big step forward already regardless though.

Im liking our chances against Arky now. I have no hope for LSU and Ole Miss.

If we could somehow go 4-5 against Arky, LSU and Ole Miss that would be fantastic.

If we managed to take the series against LSU I would have to take a day off to just to sit somewhere and laugh all day.

Taking the series against LSU would be almost as good as 21-0

We lost to auburn 6-3 tonight. I was glad to see they showed some resolve. It seems like if we haven't scored much late we usually don't, but they scored a couple in the 8th to get within striking distance
