Almost every team looks to have a tough schedule. Welcome to 2024. I do think when you break down the schedule by segments around the byes, you probably want to aim for 3-0 before first bye, 4-1 in middle stretch, and 3-1 down the home stretch and a 10-2 regular season with that schedule is almost guaranteed to get you in. Three losses could be dicey, and one loss puts you in the first round bye category.

Georgia hosts Clemson and goes to Kentucky before their 1st bye week.

They are going to be more tested than us by the time we play them.

No Arkansas, no Ole Miss, no Miss St and no Texas A&M…weird. Very weird.

With divisions gone and the top two teams playing in the SEC championship it means theoretically we could play Auburn, LSU or teams like Ole Miss in ATL. That’s also weird to me.

Not a bad schedule tbh. Yes, playing UGA and OU adds two big time teams to our schedule but we get rid of most of the former West teams and add the likes of S Car and Vandy.

Mizzou is normally not a concern but they should be a playoff contender next year.

We have one big OOC game in Wisconsin but I noticed LSU scheduled USC and UCLA. What are they thinking? I respect it but it’s all about self preservation.

Outside of Oklahoma right before the Iron Bowl, it's not bad. Obviously the huge September home matchup vs UGA.

But if any team has more than 2 losses, they don't deserve a NC shot. But a 2 loss SEC team dang sure better get in over a 2 loss team in any other conference.

I'm going to really hate to ever see a 3 loss team in the CFP.

Playing South Carolina at home for the first time since 2009. Only the forth time playing South Carolina under Saban.

Georgia, Auburn and Missouri in SEC home games alone is pretty solid if you ask me.

If there is an "easy" SEC schedule, Mizzou has it:

Vanderbilt
@A&M
Auburn
@Bama
Oklahoma
@South Carolina
@Miss State
Arkansas

Some of these schedules are ridiculous. LSU opens with UCLA and USC before SEC play even starts. And Florida ends their schedule with:

Georgia
@Texas
LSU
Ole Miss
@Florida State

Should be....interesting.

Napier might be an analyst here before the 2024 season ends.

Looks like 12-0 to me. Georgia will be good and I expect Auburn to be improved, but we get both at home. I like it

Wonder when there will be an increase in the scholarship amount with the 12 team CFP

Two losses, even with a 12 team playoff, is going to put you at risk at being on the outside looking in. Especially if they keep the automatic qualifiers. Some scrub team could back into winning their conference and automatically be in, thus pushing out an SEC team that deserved a shot over them.

I like it. I'm excited to integrate OU and Texas into the league. My early feeling is we meet Texas in Atlanta.

I can't wait for us to go to a 9 game schedule and drop the buy game in November fully.
