Great kick by him, and all the fans that never turned on him get to enjoy it.

I never turned on him, I did turn on the coaches for trotting him out there a few times. Once a guys got the yips, it's best to let him clear his mind, repeating the process doesn't help.

It's pretty clear the coaches turned on him, too. I was surprised they sent him out there, but I'm glad he finally nailed a long one. It's always been clear he's had the leg for it. He's just been consistently shanking.

I think trotting him out for the kick 6 was a bad move, and that it's been messing with him ever since.

ETA: Personally, I was ready to stop kicking long field goals and just going for it on forth down past the 50. He hasn't had issues with the short ones. Hopefully he starts getting more consistent with the long ones, too. His would be a great story of overcoming all odds if he can put it all together.

I was sure he was going to miss it. I was so thrilled when it went through the uprights.

I know I've given him hell but that is what the shame technique can do for you. He's better because of it!

He hasn't shanked many at all this year...most of his kicks have been hit solid, with great height and distance, he was just off on his accuracy a bit early on...I only recall one, maybe two, kicks this year where he mishit the ball badly...

It was good to hear him get one of the louder cheers during player introductions. Most fans love him.

This is because we've only been doing short yardage field goals for most of the season. It's clear that the strategy was to get his confidence back up, and it worked, but he has definitely been consistently shanking long ones.

Really says a lot about his character to bounce from that rough start. Good, good for him.

Really happy for him. Still though, I hope this doesn't mean we abandon going for it on 4th and short at the 40
