Is Ferguson seen as a potential one and done type guy? Hoping he is a one and done talent with a three and done mindset.

Huge. One recruit/player can affect things to such a greater degree than any other sport. If the kid pans out this could really be a program changer.

I remember thinking when Nick got Julio, "Things have changed". You could be looking at Avery's Julio.

He has the possibility, but I think he may need a second year to bulk up and work on his ball handling

:nana: That bond with AJjr and Dazon is really tight. I went to school in the early 90's and so glad things are looking up for the program again. So happy right now.

I honestly don't mind either way. It's been TOO DAMN long since this program has drafted anyone to the league and we need to establish a reputation like Football or getting players to where they need to go.

So basically he was committed all along, but Avery decided to go public with it since Auburn got a big commit yesterday. Hmmmmmmmm

I asked because people always mention how skinny he is. I know they play different positions but Walker from UF came to mind. He was an elite recruit but was horrible. Just wondering if Ferguson is ready to help a team in college.

And no, I haven't watched any of his video.

Walker couldn't do anything but dunk.

TFerg is basically exactly what you want in a college wing: knock down shooter, good defender, and a great athlete.

Jerry Meyer's scouting report:

quote:

Ferguson is one of the top shooters in the 2016 class. Along with his shooting ability, he has length for his position and is an explosive leaper in the transition game. He is also a dedicated defender and an intelligent player. The weakness in his game is his ball handling and passing abilities. But he is an adequate handler and passer and is intelligent enough to play within his abilities. He’s a guy with a huge upside that should get better while in college. But he’s an impact guy right away.

Like I can't think of better traits for a college wing to have

Now it doesn't mean Ferguson will be a stud in college, but Walker and Ferguson couldn't be farther apart in basically every aspect of their game other than both being skinny for their respective heights.

What did Tim Watts have to say about the commitment? Just from the preview I saw he discussed Pettway playing a big role but was there anything else of note?
