Definitely a really heart breaking loss, but I wasn't really disappointed that much. Georgia had an amazing team that year led by Stafford and Moreno. For Bama to take them to OT, it was definitely a plus on our part.
Can't believe it's been 9 years since we've had Georgia come to BDS.

My 5th trip to tuscaloosa for a game, had a great time as always.
If memory serves, bama the week before had lost a squeaker to a good (I think? Can't recall) arkansas team so I think people knew the potential was there. This game being as close as it was only cemented that.

Nah we beat Arkansas the week prior. They were ranked, so that's why we climbed to to #16.

That game was the last time the University put a portable jumbotron on the Quad for fans to watch the game. Stupid Georgia fans.

That was one of the worst ideas ever. I've never seen the Quad be such a mess.

Tons of UGA fans tailgated and left trash all over the Quad. Much moreso than the usual gameday amount.
UGA fans were bad that day, but the school got the bright idea to put a jumbotron on the busiest section of The Quad. It attracted thousands of people who had no intent on going to the game. People were literally setting up chairs in the middle of tents of stranger's tailgates. It made life a living hell for those of us who usually tailgate around there.

They were awful. Walking back to my apartment after the game, I had a woman UGA fan get into my face and start barking really loud, among other shite talk. I just kind of looked at her like she was crazy, and went on my way. That was just one incident.
Not indicting the whole fanbase based on that one experience, but that was pretty bad that night.

Considering I ended up marrying a UGA fan, I don't think it had an adverse affect on my opinion of UGA fans.

I definitely don't. I had no problems at all during the 2012 SECCG, and I have many UGA friends, all are good folks. And I know that you have been a solid poster on the rant for a long while.
