Encouraging, but I'd hate to see a second injury so fast.

Korren Kirven was the second-team left tackle.

Is this something new? I only casually followed spring training; don't remember who was 2nd at LT

I thought Mo Smith had been moved to Safety? Star is reportedly his best position though

Saban said Bo is suspended for the first four games but said that he probably wouldn't have played in those games anyway while healing.

I'd put money on pot related, but dealing with recovering from ACL I find it hard to blame him

Really wish that shite would just get legalized already

It's more than pot, it's a NCAA suspension.

it may get legalized but like beer there may be age restrictions. Even if it is legal at a later date it still may violate team rules.

Heard Saban say today that Brown was working with the 2's today

Usually on first day of practice you'll have the older guys with the 1's to show the younger guys what is expected of them. I would've thought Jones and Sylve would be the first two.

I am just looking forward to having him during the season since RB depth is a real issue with our team right now. Even though he is suspended the first 4 games, it's kind of a moot point at least with the injury.

Drug screenings by the NCAA that result in a positive test are four game suspensions though.

What in the world... grades? Impermissible benefits?

Edit: oh, possibly still pot?

Weed seems step for four games. I wonder if he was taking hgh or steroids to help recover from his injury faster. Maybe blow, side it is Tuscaloosa.

I don't think we have ever had a guy suspended 4 games for weed.

When asked about what led to the suspension, Saban mentioned having to "respect what they say about amateurism," but declined to elaborate.

If Damien Harris turns out to be a solid #3, is it safe to say Bo Scar may get the red-shirt this year? Would be nice to save him and have him 100% in 2016 if possible. Then again, we lose Henry and Drake after this year, so he may need as many reps as he can get. And what is the story on Flowers? Damn, I just realized how green at running-back Alabama will be next year. That will be the least experienced backfield Saban has had at Alabama. Sorry for rambling.

Doubtful. Bo is the kind of guy you can put in different spots, not just RB. If he can be even slightly versatile, they'll use that this year.

Yeah CNS sounded like the plan is for Bo to start contributing as soon as the 4 game suspension is over and he's physically able. Doesn't sound like they plan on red shirting him. Need 4 healthy RBs anyway. Plus he's draft eligible after the '16 season so might as well go ahead and use him.
