but on the gray shirt I don't think they can enroll at bama until the spring..they can go JUCO or somewhere else I think. They are on their own dime if they enroll at Bama in the fall and I think their 5 year window may start at that point

They can enroll in fall but their clock doesn't start as long as they aren't full time, pay their own way, and don't participate with football team.

It says they must earn 6 hours to be eligible but I wonder if they still have to be enrolled in at least 12 hours during the spring and fall?
