There's so much mythology around that game. But the fact is that Wilbur Jackson was already a scholarship member of the football team.

You're right, Jackson was on the freshman team in '70, not to mention the walk-ons before him in the late 60's. But even though he was with the team, he didn't get on the field with the varsity till the following year, along with JUCO transfer John Mitchell. I think the USC game helped Bear in getting Jackson & Mitchell on the field sooner, and with much less outcry, than would've been otherwise...

All the talk about the 1970 USC game is nice, but the 1971 game in Los Angeles was one of the most pivotal games in our history. Huge reversal from the previous year, on the road, debut of the Wishbone, and the beginning of the run of 100+ wins in ten years, returned Alabama to the annual national championship discussion for the next 10 years.

Don McNeal's hit on Scott Fitzkee on 2nd down before the goal line stand must be one of the biggest plays of all time that rarely gets mentioned...so much so that no one else in this thread has mentioned it. Krauss's stop on 4th down will always live as one of the greatest, because of the fact that it was 4th down, but it really was a team effort. McNeal's play was was an incredible individual play. Without it, there is no goalline stand. Watching it today, I still can't believe Fitzkee didn't get in.

I had both the 1970 and 1971 games referenced in my ten.

I'll be getting around to tabulating this as soon as I can.

He was so underrated, as well as Cory Reamer. Great players.

I like your entire list so I will try and think of something different to add.

The beat down of Woody and Ohio State in the Sugar bowl was a good game. 35 to 6 or something like that.

The last drive against UGA after they block a punt to take the lead and Perkins finally lets Mike throw the ball and we march down the field for a very good win after it looked like we gave away the game.

Someone had the SEC championship game against UF in '99 I think? But the one point victory earlier in the year at the swamp to end their long unbeaten streak at home was a very good win.

The great comeback victory and touchdown pass by Walter Lewis against.....Oh Wait, I forgot how their endzones unique shape and family friends officiating the game had a slight effect on outcome.
