Because we are 2-0 in SEC, clearly.
I love the start of the team this season but that's just it....it's a start.

If you had a bit of sense you would wait until the season was near end and not when the team has a chance of imploding and losing majority of the games they have left and missing both of the postseason tournaments.

Whatever hole you jump out of, it would be a pleasure to see you return

What would a win vs UK do for some opinions?

It will definitely sway opinions but the thing is ...it hasnt happened yet. But some of you want everyone to magically love Grant because he beat TN and Texas A&M Grant hasn't beat a ranked team since he's been here in 6 years. I root for Grant to succeed but I'm not going to be blind to the fact that he hasn't been able to get it done lately.

I still don't like Grant.... but actually Kentucky seems to be the one team he's got down... beat them in Tuscaloosa every time, and they came in highly ranked.

I hate to be that guy, but he beat a ranked UK team in 2011 (he may have had more, but that is one for sure). Still, not enough to warrant praise.

ah frick...Forgot about that one.

He also beat some other teams that were ranked early in the season..but ultimately wasn't as good as they were made to be as they finished unranked.

eh I'll give you the 2011 UK win, they were pretty good.. but hell you could argue we were the better team and a game we SHOULD HAVE WON in 2012 when we beat them at Coleman, finished with same conference record and overall record.(year they lost to R Morris in NIT, we lost to Maryland at home in NIT)

No, I think this season is a drastic improvement over last season. Looks like the Wichita St loss caused some to jump off the bandwagon, and can't say I really blame them. It was the same blueprint for many other games we've lost to ranked teams. Some jumped off the bandwagon last year or before and nothing Grant will do will get them back on it. Still a long way to go this season, and hopefully we continue to improve.

And we finally have an offensive identity, and an inside scoring threat with Kessoms. Haven't had that since his first season with Jamychal Green.

Same can be said for you. Why not wait till the end of the season to call for Grant's head. All of my posts have been in response to you and other's lynch mob thread.

Gonna beat UK

I got a feeling they struggled mightily with aTm's press D and we saw how effective it was against Bama

I see a lot of TO's and missed shots or bricks out of Kentucky in Coleman and Bama's pressure will keep the scorers in check

End of which season? Last season? The season before that?

This is year 5 dude. It's almost a waste of time at this point.

I've been off the bandwagon for a couple of years. And, if I were you, I wouldn't jump on it just because we beat two SEC teams that were missing their best players. We MIGHT be improved this year, but I'm not falling for it again. I'll take the wait and see approach. If they continue to win, AND beat some good teams (that aren't short-handed) I'll give Grant credit. If Kessens can continue to play well, against better inside players than he's been seeing, we might have a shot. But, I'm afraid what we're seeing right now is fool's gold.

I jumped off the Grant bandwagon the day I drove to NC and watched us totally waste an opportunity to win an NCAA game by not getting a decent shot at the end of the game. I knew then that we didn't have a coach that could draw up an offensive play in end game/ late shot clock situations. We still can't call a timeout and have any confidence that the guy can get us a good shot when we have to have one.
I am on the bandwagon for this team. I said on another board that I think this team rallies around Levi kind of like the football team did around Blake. I have no idea if it will be enough to make an NCAA tourney, but at least this team is more fun to watch.

Now, lets just get Hale less shots and Norris more shots.

Some of these folks have hated Grant for so long an obviously better team and what's clearly shaking out to be an outstanding recruiting class isn't going to change anything.

Every win Bama has this year is a bad win... UT is down? I thought they were on a 5 game win streak with some really solid wins... now because we beat them handily they must be down... kinda like aTm was until they took UK to 2 OTs... face it! This is a really strong Bama squad... of course when we beat USCe tomorrow night it will be another blah win right?

I don't hate Grant. I really liked him for the first two years. But we've never gotten better than mediocre, and that's because he's a mediocre coach. He's a pretty good recruiter, but his coaching is consistently mediocre. I predict we'll be a bubble team at the end of the year, at best. That's the gold-standard of Grant's teams.

So... you wanted instant gratification, didn't get it and have been crying ever since... great story Bro.

I'll admit that I think Grants offense leaves something to be desired... like entertainment for instance... but he's far from a mediocre coach. He often has one of the best Ds in the country. He coaches to his defense which brings down the entertainment factor.

Injuries, defections and attitude have all cost Grant/Bama some tourneys... Green and Mitchell's attitudes alone killed 2 promising seasons...

Grant FINALLY has the right kind of players and attitudes to match his coaching but, all people can do is keep bringing up the past or predict what this season will look like based on the past... Grant has not had to sit a player this year... that's the 1st time that's not happened under his watch. This is apparently a much better TEAM. Maybe some of you can stop sipping your hateraide long enough to realize it.

I'm assuming no one really hates Grant... but when fans call for coaches jobs I call it hate.

You wearing your "got Shula" tshirt while you type that?

Look, until the guy proves he can draw up a play at the end of a game/shot clock or a decent in bounds play, he's a mediocre coach. Maybe you just have lower standards.

Its Year 6. I wouldn't call expecting better than a bubble spot wanting "Instant Grtification."

That's all part of the game. You're allowed a few excuses but when you make as much as Grant makes, you're expected to overcome them.

Call it what you want, but everyone who has called for his firing over the last two years have been justified in doing so. Grant makes elite money and we haven't gotten close to the results that many people expect from him. That's not hate.

what the hell is wrong with you people...this is Grant's SIXTH year...not first, second, third, fourth, fifth, but sixth....What we want is to be more than MEDIOCRE or down right godawful(last year) at this point along in his tenure.
I guess you think it is a glorious feat to go to the tournament twice in a 10 year span. (if we are going off the basis of what has happened already)
