Here Is ESPN's Merrill Hodge's "bust" Analysis Of Johnny Manziel

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports
The internet is a buzz about ESPN NFL analyst Merrill Hodge's breakdown of Johnny Manziel's game that included calling him a "bust." Check it out...
quote:

He has absolutely no instinct or feel for pocket awareness. He has an instinct to run. That’s a bad instinct if you’re going to have that in the National Football League,” Hoge said on “SportsCenter” on Wednesday. “You have to play in the pocket with traffic around you and throw it. When traffic comes around him, he runs, and that’s dangerous in the National Football League. His skill set does not transition to the National Football League, and it is a big, big risk. In fact, I see bust written all over him, especially if he’s drafted in the first round.
Hodge never holds back, I love it.

Wait, so we're talking about the National Football League? I'm sure Johnny Manziel will do well in the National Football League. The National Football League needs more quarterbacks like Johnny Manziel.

LSU stopped him his freshman year and when he had a fractured thumb on his throwing hand. That does not make his career.

LSU stopped him with some of their lesser defenses over the years. NFL defensive coordinators will do the same.

I think his name is Hoge, not Hodge.
I don't like JM's shot at NFL stardom, but Hoge is a pompous ass.

According to the stats Ryan Leaf was a better QB than Peyton Manning. So stats actually do lie.

Johnny was the most accurate passer from the pocket in the nation last year. Stats don't lie. RG3 is a track guy playing QB. Skinny and not very accurate or consistent. His production in College doesn't even come close to Johnny's.

Hoge called the Tebow bust and he called the Vince Young bust...I sense Merrill might have a knack for these things

Yeah RGIII is only bigger, stronger, and faster. Not to mention obviously more intelligent. All that aside I'm sure Johnny will be 10x the QB that RGIII is in the league.

I enjoy how Merrill always dresses properly and says National Football League, instead of abbreviating it, although he is hardly more than a functioning retard.
