These are some schools outside of the 'Big Six' who have flirted with some success (10 win mark, New Year's day Bowls) but never have come close to puncturing 'elite status' in recent history.

I think given their resources, recruiting base, and fan support hands down that TAMU will win a National Championship before any of OM, MSU, or Arkansas.

State has just as much chance as OM and has proven that.

Easily Arkansas. TAMU is incompetent at hiring head coaches, and the Mississippi schools are, well, the Mississippi schools

This AD has hired back to back elite coaches. I feel pretty confident as long as they're in charge

A&M has a much better shot than the other three. I wanted to say Arkansas but I know Razorback football is cursed from growing up there. For either of the Mississippi schools to be able to do it, I believe the other school has to have a prolonged down period.

Only one of those has been ranked #1 at some point in the last decade.
