Is he really considering staying in his hometown and going to Houston? According to 247, he said Houston leads and we're running in second. I can't imagine a 5* choosing Houston with offers from damn near everyone.

Also, I don't know if it's just a deep year for defensive tackles or if there's a reemphasis on the position but six of the top 22 players in the country per the composite are DT.

Yeah. He is really considering it, but I feel confident that our staff will be able to get him to LSU.

Houston hired his high school coach and his brother played at Houston. It's LSU and Houston and I think once the season plays out he will probably lean towards LSU.

Houston is a legit threat for those reasons listed above. But he was a helping hand with the recruitment of Toby weathersby so I think it's a good sign for us

Looks like LSU will stay in state at DT

Lawrence, Alexander and Logan wouldn't be a bad in-state haul at DT

Even though LSU is 10x the school Houston is, I would not blame him at all for going to Houston. He's from there, his high school coach is their coach, his brother plays there, and his family will get to watch him play. Houston has a lot going for them. Still hope he picks us.

While he definitely has Houston as his leader, I wouldn't trust Hamm on anything else. LSU is right behind Houston.

But his former HC is at Houston and that guys brother is his current HC, so I imagine it's going to be all Houston all the time when he talks to his head coach. A bit of a weird change though because he helped sell Toby Weathersby on LSU last cycle.

Add Stephon Taylor, who along with Logan, could line up at DE in a 3-man front, and that haul would be A1.

Why would Hamm quote Oliver on Ole Miss being his No. 2 if it isn't true? Doesn't seem like he gains anything from that.

To slight LSU. He has some personal vendetta against LSU and openly antagonizes LSU fans on his board (and attempted to once on the LSU board).

ETA: I mean, you're asking me justify the actions of an irrational person that wishes injuries on guys that don't sign with A&M. It's like trying to figure out the reasoning behind the actions of a woman.

Yeah. Hamm's hatred of all things LSU is well documented, and he has a history of being very unprofessional about it.

If he misquotes a kid's top schools just to slight a school he doesn't like, he's not only deranged but he needs to be fired.

Most Aggies here can't stand the guy. He's an embarrassment. It's quite funny to see the levels he will go when a recruit takes a serious look at LSU over A&M.
