Yea it is strange. That football scoop story was tweeted out 30 mins ago and there has been nothing else said on the story either way by anyone else; including all the people that broke the news of the hire this morning.

Some folks are making it sound like the AJC tried to scoop the story before it was official which alerted Stanford to Taylor leaving and they countered with a big contract to stay and he supposedly agreed. In other words, the AJC is continuing to prove the need for it to be done away with entirely.

Football Scoop isn't really legit, they report a lot of rumors. Could be true, but I'd be shocked and, honestly, disappointed if that were true.

How embarrassing is it that some guy who works for Football Scoop gets this info and the main newspaper for one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the US completely screwed this up?
