Someone posted in another thread that assistants would probably stay at current schools bc of financial incentives. Also, there is no reason for T-Rob to leave yet especially since Boom won't be coaching for bowl game. Don't think a position coach would leave before the season is over. Also, T-Rob might be staying through bowl game for the players.

Is SECN broadcasting the presser?

It would be wrong to leave without a 2 weeks notice.

Pretty sure Booger posted that this morning, but I only read a c&p version. I didn't actually see the tweet.

I agree. Even if it's simply to evaluate and teach, we need him on tPlains, asap.

For $1.6M, that dude should coach the entire defense in the bowl game by himself.

I thought I saw a tweet by one of the al.com guys that Boom's first game would be next season's opener. If I am wrong, I apologize and will let Beaver execute himself on my behalf.

I call bullshite. No way do they rush to get this deal done just for Boom to sit and not coach the defense leading up to the bowl and during the bowl.

in the presser he says he will "monitor" practice from M-Th and then spend time with his family for Christmas.

I think he is going to focus on recruiting while he can, and probably finding a place to live and junk like that. No point in him coming in and "coaching" for the bowl game, all that would lead to would be Auburn fans whining during the bowl game about how he isn't worth $1.6 million every time Gordon busts a long run. It's not like he could come in and effectively implement his style and system in the 15 or so days between now and the bowl game anyway. What purpose would him "coaching" the bowl game possibly serve?
Best case scenario we have an anomaly of a defensive game and everything looks amazing, only to step back down a notch in the season opener, then everybody screams and hollers? (think Tony Franklin coaching in the Chick-Fil-A bowl)

I was getting greedy in my thinking
