I know Florida's offense isn't great, but I was really impressed about the way they played. Still some herp derps here and there, but I didn't come out of the game wondering what the hell is going on.
Special teams though

Yea I think Joe Robinson's job is safe. He just needs to fix kick return

Defense allowed 260 yards of offense and 17 pts in regulation. That's the best we've done all year hands down. They also forced a key turnover in the 4th Q.
I thought David Johnson played with a lot of fire, if he adds some muscle he can really contribute next year when the NEW IMPROVED DE squad gets here.
We should have had Walton and Moore on the field at the same time all year. Walton is a better LB than Lewis, it is what it is.
Golightly and Diggs both played really well in coverage and rush defense. Golightly did have that late run onto the field, but I don't know if that was his fault yet, that seemed more like substitution confusion and it could've been that somebody else was supposed to be out there. Diggs fumble and recovery was huge.
Lammons played with a lot of passion, but let the WR get in his head. Harris Jr doesn't have enough muscle to play SEC ball now, he needs a really great year in the weight room. McWilliams did alright at times, he's getting better. UF didn't pass much though, but we still held them to 5-11 passes.
Spec Teams saved the day, and this might save Joe Rob's job if he keeps it up. A blocked FG followed by a blocked Punt...that was awesome. Our return game was still meh, but uf is loaded with athletes.
We foreced the most punts we have all season, and this is against a team that ran for 400 yards against georgia a couple weeks ago. Basically, the Defense and Spec Teams came out ready to get into a 3 hour fist fight and just battle. The offense was really lackluster, but did enough to keep the defense rested. Florida's defense has gotten better as this year has gone by.

You're right, the Offense we faced today was bad ... but still, at their place and all. So yeah, we did better, that's for sure.
There is hope for these next two games now.
ETA: I wanna add, if I may, that Dylan Thompson did not throw a pick today, plus he did a much better job of taking sacks. He was getting rid of the ball better today. Also, Shaq just needs to fricking quit. I've known that kid since he was a baby and always said he had some attitude problems ... but sheeesh, show some fricking urgency for a change.

Any word on Wilds?
If I would have known we'd only score 23 points I would've thought we would be blown out. Defense and special teams today Bout damn time we won a crazy, stressful game like that.

Gamecock Radio Network reported contusion on his thigh. said he was otherwise fine. nothing structural.
was wondering about Damiere Byrd as well. he took a shot on the high pass from Pharoh early 4Q. I don't think he returned to the game after coming off the field after that play.

TV announcers kept saying bruised ribs for Byrd, but I heard a little while ago it's lower body.

So we've blocked 3 or 4 FGs this year and 1 punt. When's the last time we've blocked more than 1 FG or punt in a season?

hope Byrd is able to overcome the hit get back on the field in time for the 29th.
he, oddly, was not viewed as a defenseless WR even though he was completely off the ground and only making a play for the highly thrown ball. being behind the LOS must nullify targeting.
