Can't sustain success as a head coach, but is one of the most talented defensive minds in the league, much like Lane Kiffin on offense.

Is this a question or a statement?

Until this year, you could have asked if Muschamp a defensive "Dan Mullen".

I don't think Lane Kiffin is overrated as an OC.

He tries to get cute/fancy sometimes, but he isn't exactly awful.

I'm still waiting to see the offensive genius of Lane Kiffin...Oakland? UT? USC and Bama, where he has a decided talent advantage? Just curious.

Um no. Mullen coaches at historically the worst program in the SEC and brought them to 4 straight bowls. Muschamp on the other hand has 4* and 5* recruits/players at one of the best jobs in the nation.

No. Kiffin managed to land HC positions with an NFL team and two big CF programs despite never having much success at any of them. Kiffin isn't unique because he was a highly touted coordinator that didn't pan out as an HC. He's unique because he kept getting good jobs.

If Muschamp winds up the HC of the Jags or something and continues his current legacy of HC excellence, then maybe.
