The #1 and #4 don't automatically play in Nola.

If a West Coast team is #1, the 1-4 will be in the Rose.

and to answer your question - no chance. If the SEC were to get two teams it will be 1 Mississippi and 1 Alabama, 1 Mississippi and Georgia, or 1 Alabama and Georgia. No chance for 2 Mississippi.

Georgia can forget about getting in... they have one of the worst losses out of any 1 loss team in the country. Not to mention, the east is weak sauce, bran.

We don't. Would be nice, but we don't need it. MSU beats you and we win out, we're in on the tiebreaker. You got stuck playing the two shittiest teams in the East.

Wrong. If it's just between us two then we win the tiebreaker because it goes off head to head.

Read. I said if MSU beats you and we win out. That would be a 3 way tie, and you'd be screwed. We wouldn't need LSU to do shite. Go ahead and beat them by 50.

I'm not following you here. If OM beats Auburn and the rest of the teams on the schedule until the Egg Bowl, and if State wins every game until then, how is there no chance for two Mississippi teams?

This is exactly my point I didn't think it was that hard to comprehend it could happen

Because the loss would come too late in the season. It doesn't make sense but it's how College Football world works.

This is assuming MSU only loses 1 more game to Bama. And having only one loss.. Thats a lot of ifs and buts... If we cant beat state at home we don't deserve a spot in the playoff...
How about we just beat state in the egg bowl... Makes all the scenarios evaporate...

Also you seem to be really confident in the outcome of the iron bowl...

Voters remember a loss at the end of the season much more so than the beginning. This isn't some new thing.

There is also a lot of football left to be played with most of the teams entering the hardest stretches of their schedules. Threads asking the possibility of these chances at this point in the season mean nothing

As an LSU fan, you should know that isn't necessarily the end all, be all, for getting 2 MS schools in.
I for one, think they will try their absolute best to keep it at a single SEC team in the playoff.

Lets say either state or ole miss go undefeated into the egg bowl.. winner goes secc... they win and will no doubt be number 1 going into playoff.. Your telling me that a one loss team from the number 1 team won't make it into the playoff somehow? No fricking way

Assuming uga wins the secg in this argument, they won't be denied by or jumped by any one loss team.

True. However, if they are undefeated until the Egg Bowl they will PROBABLY be 1 and 2, or at WORST 1 and 3. They might not drop but 1 or two slots in the standings. (See Notre Dame's loss to Florida State.
