Just curious as I haven't watched them play this year.

They appear to be pretty good.

They are legit-ish. I'm not sold we'll keep up the D performance we have enjoyed to date, but we're certainly better than last year

Best D we've had since about 2008...

Not missing assignments or tackles, creating turnovers, DB's showing ballskills, shutting down the run...

Only thing missing is a natural pass rusher

Yes they are good. Them and State look to be the most complete teams in college football.

Idk what you mean by legit, but they are vastly improved compared to the last few years. They definitely have the ability to keep us in games when the offense isn't fully clicking

Ellis may be the worst HC ever, but he does know his defense.

They look great against a 1950s offense with a dual-threat QB, so take that fwiw.

Secondary and linebacker play is much improved over years past. D line is solid, but lacks a consistent edge rusher. The numbers probably have us a little over rated. We haven't faced any really good offenses yet.

Compared to last year .....better tackling, DB's notably better, pretty stiff run D. I would say significantly better than last year. Unfortunately thats not saying much and we haven't exactly played a high octane passing team yet. This weekend is really gonna tell the story on both Auburn and State imo.

Shaky at times but overall they're real good.

They make excellent halftime adjustments. You can bet if start slow that they will be a completely different D after the half.

I think they have an average D that's better than last years D. They haven't faced any good offenses yet and I think that is inflating their numbers a bit.

They have the best D state has faced and we have the best offense they've faced

Killed LSU, but we suck and missed probably 10 open passes and had a game plan that seemed to come from the mind of a chimpanzee with down syndrome.

D is good enough. It's their offense they need to worry about against any defense with a pulse. They put up a whopping 20 points against KSU.
