Considering certain system emphasize running upfield to get sacks and TFL while also giving up big plays vs. others that don't those comparative stats can be pretty worthless and or misleading.

Depends on the quality of the teams that they have played.

I mean, I'm guessing A&M has more sacks and TFL than Alabama this season.

There is a 0.000000% chance that I would take their D-line over ours.

Maybe.

But playing Boise, Vandy, UL, and Memphis State aren't exactly the cream of the crop.

Both have played one significantly overrated opponent on the road and 3 shitty teams.

We are not taking A&M's defensive line in a pillow fight, let alone in a football game...

The fact that Alabama only has 20 total TFL on the season was not something I was expecting, to put it bluntly.

We don't operate that way. We almost never have high TFL or sack rates.

Alabama's system on defense is more designed to build a wall at the line of scrimmage, fill all gaps, rather than get too far up field for the big negative play.

#2 is better. #1 can't get off the field.
