That was an exciting yawn week for SEC football...well I'm sure the parents of everyone's 3rd string long snapper had a good time seeing their son get some PT. And it was probably exciting for all the superfans who want a glimpse into their team's near future. A majority of the SEC blew out their opponents...a few had some unexpected (and unwanted) troubles with their cupcakes. Thankfully it's only week 2 so I don't think any fanbase should jump ship just yet...except for the Commodores. Don't worry guys, baseball season is only ~160 days away

Semo and I would like to thank the Football Power Rankings Committee who created all this. It'd be impossible to do this without them. We'd also like to thank Week 2's randomly selected Guest Voters: TheJones & beHop. We had 30+ Guest Votes submitted this week, so thanks Ranters.

This week we embedded a schedule/record bar into each team's section. Let us know what you think (yes I see the little white line above each one...I'll figure out how to get rid of it). Also, the beloved & equally hated points arrows will make their first appearance next week...they need a facelift before making their appearance

FPV - First Place Votes
APS - Average Points Scored
APA - Average Points Allowed

Week 2 Power Rankings (Text Version)
1) Georgia (15)
2) Texas A&M (10)
3) Auburn (4)
4) Alabama (1)
5) LSU
6) Ole Miss
7) Missouri
8) Mississippi State
9) Florida
10) Tennessee
11) South Carolina
12) Arkansas
13) Kentucky
14) Vanderbilt

Because you asked for it....

I'm too lazy to look, but what was the change from last week?

Btw. Big fan of the schedule and green/red highlight under the write up. Good work.

Geez. Missed the last week. Ignore my post.

Really of of the best polls anywhere. You guys should consider doing one for all of college football.

Teams in the middle. Top and bottom remain the same.

the schedule bar is a gamechanger

PS - Pretty sure Alabama isn't allowing 0.0 PPG

Doing just the SEC is really the same thing. We can throw FSU in there around 6th if that makes y'all happy

Pretty solid. I think I would move UT up to 8th and go from there.

ETA The schedule bar is sweet.

Looks solid. Still way too early to have a firm grasp on any of these teams except maybe Vandy, so I won't disagree.

3rd team in the country is 4th in the SEC? What do you guys know that the head coaches and real voters don't?

That power rankings operate a little differently than the AP and Coach's polls? Just guessing the obvious.

I'm guessing posters here pay more attention to the SEC on average than coaches/ap voters.

That Bama doesn't look like the 3rd best team in the country

The SECRant PR didn't base Week 1 off of a preseason ranking. Instead, our voters base their opinions off of what they see on the field, so I guess that's what makes them different from the "professionals"
