Bama or LSU?

Bonus Question:

Who do you think ends up being the primary QB for each school this season?

Bama. If only because the QB will have Coop/Howard to throw to and Yeldon/Henry/Drake to hand it to.

Well, both will rely on the run game exclusively and both will have a top 5 defense in the SEC. Should really almost be mirror images of each other. The only upside LSU has over Bama is our QBs are being coached by a legitimate NFL QB coach. Bama's is being coached by a guy who's never been a QB coach in his life.

I'm really torn... but I'm going to go with LSU because they will have (depending on injuries) a more consistent offensive line.

Plays out better? You mean which team wins more? That's easy. I'm not sure who ends up the guy at either school.

Both will have relatively solid quarterbacking situations compared to the rest of the league, because the teams will put neither group in a position to fail, in most games.

That said, I have more faith in Alabama to provide the dynamic plays that can change games with their running game and receivers, and thus they are better equipped for dealing with come from behind and late game situations.

On that basis, only very slightly, do I give the edge to Bama.

Slight edge to Bama right now b/c they have verified studs in the backfield. If LF turns out as projected, LSU takes the lead b/c of experience on the O Line.

Such a strange year for our conference with so many new QB's under center.

Coker and Harris will be the starters after week 3 IMO
