The modern feminist movement is a joke. It's no longer about equality. It's about wanting all of the positives of being equal and none of the negatives. It's about superiority and demonizing anyone who doesn't fall in line. Most women, even many of those who would have been considered feminists back in the day, want no part of the modern movement.

And Feminism is not alone in this. A lot of the earlier civil rights type groups have morphed into monsters their founders would not recognize today.

Feminism used to be about combatting sexism. Now it seems to be more about demanding a genderless culture, which is absurd. Modern feminists honestly believe that gender is a social construct.

IMO, feminism is only about equality for women-- not special privileges or most of the bullshite those girls are talking about. The problem is a bunch of people with ridiculous ideas loudly self-identifying as feminists and warping the perception of the actual movement. The feminists that many complain about are to real feminists, as Sarah Palin is to Barry Goldwater: shitheads that identify as champions of movements they're either not really a part of (or at the fringes of) or are ruining. And no, I'm not trying to take a 'No True Scotsman' angle.
