I reported two weeks ago that I thought Ole Miss was looming as a threat in the Skal Labissiere recruitment. At the time, I was roundly mocked. But yesterday, on the Gary Parrish Show on 92.9 FM ESPN, Gary persuasively laid out the case that Ole Miss coaches have and will continue to make to Labissiere; they're building a new arena, they'll be on TV a ton with the new SEC network, and Labissiere would be the singular star on the team.

It just so happens Kennedy has an extra spot on his staff. It just so happens that spot has been left open throughout the July evaluation period. Is it crazy to think that Kennedy could go to Gerald Hamilton, Labissiere's guardian, or someone else close to him in exchange for his prized recruit? I don't think so.

Hamilton brought Labissiere over to the United States several years ago through his non-profit organization, Reach Your Dream. It would make sense for him to want to stay close to Labissiere for however long he plays in college.

I just heard them discussing this possibility on the radio in Memphis.

This type of thing happens all the damn time in college basketball and I think Kennedy would be crazy to pass this up. I went and watched him play a few times and this kid is going to be special. He's 6'10' with handles and a jumper.

We will give his family a 50% stake in all athletic revenue generated while their son is in school to get this kid's signature.

They should. As said, everyone else does it and it's perfectly legal by NCAA standards.

Highly plausible. It would be a hell of a pull for them and it's legal.

I thought you were talking about Dave Patrick.

LSU actually interviewed Sean 6 months ago, but the timing makes it pretty obvious this is for Shea. Should help us a ton with the 2016 LA class. It's loaded just like 2014 and most of the big targets have become tight with Shea.I'll be pretty happy when the flip goes down. Should be this week. Hopefully we can keep Franks. Think he has a higher ceiling.

I see what you were saying now.

one of ole miss mods on 247 knows shea personally. he says he is a very charismatic kid and people would want to play with him. Isn't franks like a stud pitcher though and is a draft risk?

Yeah we heard that a couple days ago. Can't blame him if he does. I would advise my son to do the same.

How come OM doesn't show anywhere that they signed Tunsils brother to a scholarship? I know he absolutely sucks and all(10 catches) but it was worth it to get Tunsil. Would it look bad on Freeze? Do they not want it bringing rankings down? I didn't even know a school could hide it like that.
