I had a Scottie dog that used to sit and wait for bumblebees to get close before snatching them out of the air and eating them. He apparently did it without getting stung as his face never swelled

I've eaten a wasp before.
Left out a half-filled coke can outside for an hour, forgot about it, came back outside and took a drink.

Jesus Christ I never want to feel that again.

I have squished a scorpion barefoot in an early morning stupor, without getting stung.

I did the same thing once, too, got popped by a yellow jacket in the tongue and gums. Mouth was numb for an hour.

I've got a Boykin Spaniel that does the very same thing. He's a carpenter bee's worst nightmare.

I know they're not aggressive bees, but they will sting (verified via personal experience) yet somehow he bags them all the time and never gets stung or if he does it doesn't swell or otherwise bother him.

Happened to my dog once and I couldn't stop laughing all night. Gave him some Benadryl and he was fine the next morning. I still laugh just thinking about it.

Growing up you always had to shake the coke can to check for stinging bugs if you left it open and unaccompanied.

Make that mistake once, you will never again

FWIW, bees make me look just like that.

As a kid? Why stop there?

I'm 46 and carpenter bee badminton is still my favorite summer time sport.

They make for great airsoft targets, too.

This is Georgia's native scorpion, the Southern Unstriped Scorpion. Why do we tend to squish them barefoot? I found one in my sunroom when I lived in Georgia and, barefooted of course, stepped on it. I got everything but the tail and it got me. My foot was numb from the ankle down for an hour. Weird feeling.
