Nearly seven months after agreeing to terms of a contract extension, Nick Saban's new deal will become official Tuesday.

The compensation committee of the Alabama Board of Trustees will meet by conference call at 1:30 p.m. to approve contracts involving Saban and 10 of his assistant coaches. Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin's initial employment contract is among the documents that will be made public for the first time Tuesday.

Saban's deal, announced Dec. 13, will average $7 million a year, AL.com previously reported. He made $5.5 million last year.

Alabama AD Bill Battle told AL.com last month the final details were being hammered out and approval would come soon.

"It's been agreed to for a long time," Battle said. "Some of it was working on details and looking at other options and things that took some time back and forth. Another was he is very focused on coaching, recruiting and getting him to think about something that's already agreed to, he doesn't like to do that except when he likes to do it.

"Things move slowly in academic circles, much more so than the regular business world. It happens when it happens. But I think everybody's fine with it as it is right now.

Alabama is where Saban said he wants to finish his coaching career after annual rumors of new employment opportunities.

"Terry (Saban) and our family are very happy in Tuscaloosa," Saban said when the deal was announced. "It has become home to us. This agreement allows us to continue to build on the tremendous success that we have enjoyed to this point — successes that have transcended the football field. We are excited about the future and the University of Alabama is where I plan to end my coaching career."

Contract amendments will also be made for volleyball coach Ed Allen and women's soccer coach Todd Bramble.

Other coaches who'll have contract amendments:

-- Defensive coordinator, Kirby Smart

-- Offensive coordinator, Lane Kiffin

-- Offensive line coach, Mario Cristobal

-- Linebackers coach, Lance Thompson

-- Tight ends/special teams coach, Bobby Williams

-- Linebackers coach, Kevin Steele

-- Defensive line coach, James W. "Bo" Davis, Jr.

-- Strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran

-- Running backs coach, Burton Burns

-- Wide receivers coach, William Napier

Hopefully they both (Kiffin if he is good) will be here through those contracts.
