3* rating is as a DT, we recruited him to play C/G.

LA kid but did not have an offer from LSU.

Should move us to #7 in the rankings for the time being.

He's said numerous times during the process that he will commit to LSU if they ever offer. I doubt they will but it's just something to keep an eye on.

So I take it he is a camp kid for them, in regards to an offer being extended or not.

We were waiting to evaluate him at both DT and C in camp this summer, but USCe has done a helluva job recruiting him.

With the urgency of USCe recruiting two centers for one spot, it makes sense that he jumped on the offer now and didn't wait until he camped at LSU.

I actually think this one will stick.

Wouldn't surprise me. Our Rivals report said he hadn't even visited SC yet, though he had planned on it.

I couldn't imagine committing to a school that far away that I hadn't even physically seen yet.

I think yall were the first to bring up the possibility of playing center. He's been working with former LSU and Falcons center Todd McClure since that was presented to him.

We have a camp coming up in June. If he comes to that, you may have reason to worry, but if he passes on it I think yall are solid.

I think he's going to be a good one.

ETA: When was the last time a Louisiana kid went to South Carolina?

And also, this speaks to the depth of the state for this class. A whole lot of quality players in state, even if it's not a very top heavy class.

Definitely. This class is going to be annoying as shite down the road. Seems like there's 100 3/4 star borderline guys. We can only take 25 and have needs to fill, but inevitably a few guys like Milton are going to turn into an impact players somewhere else, and the threads will be a shite show.

No clue. At the very least, not in the past 5 or 6 years. Likely much longer than that. On the flip side, y'all picked up Sam Montgomery from SC a few years ago.

Currently, we have 10 commits and only one (5* DE Shameik Blackshear) is from SC. Winning is starting to enlarge our recruiting footprint.

Yeah, I just posted on our board that he's the sixth kid already that's committed to an OOS BCS conference school. Only Tillery has an LSU offer right now, but that will change if some of those players show up to camp.

As someone from Louisiana that currently lives in Missouri, I wish Mizzou would hit LA harder than they do. Especially this year they could pick up some talent.

That and we were always a top heavy state. Lots of top tier talent that used to go to OOS schools regularly. Now we're picking up those kids + legit OOS talent ourselves.

I'm assuming we were recruiting him as a DT? This is the first that I've heard of him on the OL...We no likey him at C?

We already have Zach Rogers committed who is one of the top C prospects in the country. He's currently the #1 C on Rivals while 247 still has him classified as a G for some reason.

DT Stanley Doughty of St. Helena Central in Greensburg, class of 2003. Was a 2* with offers from us and LA-Tech...

Congrats on the pickup. Kid is an LSU recruitnick favorite. Only concern will be if he shows up to one of the LSU camps. If he doesn't then he's solid. Kid will work his arse off and play hard every down. Just the type of guy every team needs on the lines, either side. His reaching out to McClure after the USCe C interest should tell you all you need to know about his desire and dedication to being the best he can. Hell of a kid

Good pick-up. I would've liked to see Milton part of our class. There's still a chance. But like others have said, we'll have to wait until camp.

Don't go thinking he is an lsu lock . He loves lsu and would love an order but Carolina has been honest with him about their plans for him. They showed interest. LSU is 30 mile away and can't even get in a car and pay him a visit. They longer they wait , the more solid his commitment will be.

Having said that, he WILL camp at LSU this summer and WILL get an offer to play center. If he does, he will flip. Book it.
