He did. He worked with QBs his entire time on campus until last week.

Yeah. He was #5 on the depth chart and was getting left behind. He wasn't close to passing the nearest guy.
They asked him to give WR a try for the last two weeks of camp and if he doesn't like it then he can go back to QB.

Because he was previously committed to GT? Why would they want to follow him?

I couldn't go to the open scrimmage last weekend but he apparently looks very good at WR. If he is willing to give up QB then he might have a bright future there. The word so far is though is that he still doesn't want to play anything but QB. He won't be doing that in the SEC however. His accuracy is just not there at all.

He still has time. He would be a serious playmaker if he is willing to switch. He is just not a BCS level QB.
