Anybody gonna explain what "probationary status" means? Seems like none of the beat guys asked Gus for details on what this would entail

I'm guessing it means he's on an extremely short leash. Even if they asked, I doubt Gus would've gone into detail about it.

I agree with this and said that this would be what happens even when he was released. No way that you go rolling around with some buddies that have that much weed without knowing it was there.
eta: I figured Therezie would stay at star, it makes sense with him being one of the bright spots on the defense on the year consistently. They want to get Garrett on the field but Therezie earned the spot last year and now Garrett has to sit behind him.
The move of Rudy Ford to safety shocks me. I thought that he would stay at corner at worst and at best slide back to a speed back slot and sit behind Grant for a year.

Does this mean he'll be a redshirt? That was kinda the expectation that Gus would keep a close eye on him this year and make him earn his place on the team

Bessent was most likely a RS before the arrest. He's too small right now.

Exactly. He's 165 soaking wet right now. He's going to have to put on 10 more lbs before he sees the field.
I can see Ruffin contributing, but he's already got much better size at this point.
