Anybody catch the Gus quote early on about a QB battle heading into next season? Odd that Gus would say that to a TV guy unless he really thinks it.

Yup totally saw that. Said they would battle it out for starting job. I can't help but think that if we had a mobile (somewhat) qb that was capable of throwing for 300 yards and 4tds what that would do for our running game.

Marshall did great this season, but I would love to see a more accurate QB next year with this offense. Also, more god damn slant routes by the receivers.

JJ will be GREAT, IMO. Kid does not have a chink in his armor. I do expect a QB battle going into next season. That will make each better.
.....and our incoming was the MVP of the elite 11 and Under Armour game. QB position is looking like a solid position for us. We need some LB's and DB's to climb on the Bus.

Maybe, but Marshall's legs are a big part of why it was so good this year. I doubt defense play as honest with JJ running the ball.
