He's a terrible PBP for football. Does a good enough job for basketball though.

He was solid in the Arky game. I rate him well above Brent and Herbie.

Brando used to be okay, decent even. But Brando has grown combative and hubristic trying to become a Fiebaum ... and it doesn't mix well for a so-called play-by-play man.
Brando also lacks a natural humor and ability to be the man without having to be heard as such by his audience.
Finally, Brando chose to surround himself with rank amatuers in terms of sidekicks and production assistsnts and thus his brand (pardon the pun) has been scarred.
Brando's live booth accumen has been negatively influenced and therefore directly affected by his studio life and the insecurities he projects while trying to match style with Dan Patrick and troll like Paul Finebaum. It's all interrelated.

Have you ever listened to him? And I may be one of the few that think he is pretty positive about Bama in his commentary. His football knowledge is very limited.
