lsu beats Georgia, Georgia wins out and thus wins the East, and then wins the SEC championship against a 1 loss SEC team. [HEck, if bama was undefeated and lost to Ga under this scenario they would probably still go to the BCS championship game.]

so a 2 loss SEC champion misses out.

but what if LSU and BAma tied in the West and LSU won the hth so LSU lost in the championship game? Bama could still go.

I believe it will be hard to keep the SEC out of the BCS championship game. a 1 loss west SEC champion should go, no matter what happens in the other conferences.

What other conference has 5 to 6 legitimate contenders for the conference championship? Most have only 2 contenders.

Alabama loses to LSU and Ole Miss while A&M wins out, beats Vandy in the SEC championship game, and gets beat on a last minute field goal by Oregon.

That, to me, would be the "best case scenario" to stop the SEC streak.

Somebody is really desperate to get people to cheer for LSU over UGA.

Helpful advice, my friend: if they just aren't feeling it, all the thought experiments in the world aren't gonna convince them to rally behind your team. Don't be needy.

Best case scenario to stop the streak? Easy.

Three way tie for the West between LSU, Bama, A&M. BCS calculations send LSU to the SEC Championship. LSU wins the SEC, but is forced to play Clemson in the BCSNC. They choke vs. Clemson again, and the streak comes to an end. Did i miss anything?

While I tend to agree, not necessarily. A good example is Georgia is currently ranked 10th with one loss to Clemson. Even if Georgia wins out defeating for instance #1 Alabama in the SECCG, I am not convinced we would move up above undefeated Oregon and Ohio St. Yea, we would be pissed but the ONLY way to insure you get in the NCG is to not lose and even then there's no guarantee just ask 2004 Auburn.

it's a matter of time before there is no sec in the nc game to defend the title. ohio state and oregon have it pretty easy right now (yes, there is stanford). hell louiville may sneak in.

Stop this madness! UGA isnt going undefeated the rest of the way first of all...Bama wont win the SECCG. LSU is a defense away from being very good, sorry but not this year. UGA is 14th in the SEC in total defense and thats all you need to know. Ducks and Bucks will stumble....the season is long.

Look at past history and for some of you guys who are 18-20 yrs old...thats hard to do...but teams dont go undefeated much in college football. Its called upsets and its having a target on your chest when you are numero uno. Everyone wants a peice.

The only saving grace for Bama is the schedule. You never know though and if they do make it unscathed...the SECCG will be won by the east. Y'all can laugh now...but pay up later. The cycle is going to be broken. UF or USC will rep the east.

A lotta football left.

The BCS streak will end next year and SEC College Football Playoff domination will begin.

For that to happen, LSU has to have one loss. You're basically saying LSU either loses to A&M or Georgia.

@Stanford, @UW, @Arizona and UCLA...a Pac 12 championship game. It is a long season.

Ohio State still has to play Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Michigan, plus the title game in Indy.

Oregon still has to play at Stanford, at Washington, and possibly UCLA in the title game.

Louisville has the unique ability to shite the bed at the worst time (see UConn last year)

Hopefully it is a SEC team in the NCG.

Lobotomy, we play UCLA during the season.

Best case? UGA wins out, wins the SECCG, and then Richt does what he does best in the NCG and comes up a little short.

UGA fans all collectively rip our hair out while DGD and myself egg Richt's house. The Rant has it's scapegoat and continue to rip on UGA. In the end, everything remains the same. Bama is still cocky as a mother fricker, LSU still smells like corndogs, Gators still wear jean shorts, Cocks rep the Salt Life, Vandy spends their Saturdays in the library, UK waits for March, Auburn still cheats, A&M fills their jars, Grinders grind, Rebel Black bears still wish they were just Rebels, Arky fans talk about flagships, Tennersee folks do meth, Mizzou does whatever the frick Yankees do for fun, and UGA comes up short. The sun comes up, the world keeps spinning.

Do you see anyone else from the PAC 12 south winning that division?

It's like the Big 12 North was in the final years before realignment when Missouri dominated the division and got dominated in the title game.
