Have you ever quit a job?

I am not talking about sending in a two weeks notice, or telling your employer you are leaving... I am talking about flat out saying "F*** IT" and walking out for good in the middle of your shift.
I've done this before
Once was when I was 16 working at a breakfast restaurant. I wasn't old enough to be a waiter so they made me be a food runner and bus boy. The wait staff treated me like garbage, because I was the only bus boy/food runner and when I had my hands full I couldn't do everything at once. One day they were hounding me so bad I quit in the middle of the busy Saturday morning shift. Not sure who bussed tables and ran food for the rest of the day, sure as hell wasn't me. That job wasn't worth 5.50 an hour

I quit a shitty job due to an unfit boss at the tender age of 16. Very liberating..

Yup, I had another lined up already. At end of the day I packed my stuff boss asked me what was up I told him I had quit and he asked about a two week notice. I made a comment about a guy they "released" the previous month in a down sizing and asked about his two week notice. He didn't ask me again

Yes, I did. When I was about 19.
I had just picked up a phone to make a call when the Boss called a meeting 15 minutes before work, and talked until time to start.
When his meeting ended, I picked up the phone to make my call. He looked at me and said, "make calls on your own time, not mine."
So I thought about it for about 5 minutes, and said "fine, I can do that." I walked out, got in my car, and left.
I don't know how long I had been gone before they figured out I didn't work there any longer.

Freshman year of college. A restaurant manager kept me late one night until 2:00 am, on a week night doing extra cleaning and shite.
The next time he kept me past midnight, he said "Now, before I need you to leave, I need you to......" and I said "frick this, clock me out, I quit." He tried to talk me out of it, but frick that guy.

I had a staffer call me Thursday when i was on the road to say his last day was Friday as he took another job. I was so mad that I almost wanted to make a big deal of the non compete but let it go. 5 years later believe it or not, he helped give me a recommendation to a head hunter to get me this job.
Strange world

Dont ever do that. Burning bridges is never a good idea bec you never know when you may run into that person again professoinally.

When someone quits on me now I don't ever get mad if you found a job that's a better situation for you then great. If you're looking around at other jobs you probably aren't focused on yours anyways.

When I quit Walmart about 13-14 years ago:
My future wife and I worked together on the same shift (3rds). I had dairy, she had frozen. We'd always take lunch together. One day, we came back from lunch (never actually left the premises) and we were like 3 minutes late. Boss jumped our asses.
I never said a word, clocked in, walked to where the poster boards are in the store. Bought one. Went and paid for it. Kept the receipt. Walked back to the cooler, proceeded to write:
"I don't get paid enough to put up with this. I quit." on the poster. Taped it to the cooler, taped my receipt to the poster as well. My wife and I clocked out and left.
When I came back to pick up my last check, the store manager was there waiting on me. She offered my job back with a pretty decent raise. I thanked her, respectfully declined, and left.
ETA: It must have made an impression. When I talk to people that work there, they'll complain about it. I'll occasionally give them the CSB and most of them say "Oh, YOU'RE that guy!?"
