The teams who were able to contain him on the ground this year (Florida 17-60, LSU 17-27, Ole Miss 20-129, Alabama 18-92) were for the most part able to contain JFF. He threw for just 173 yards against Florida, 191 against Ole Miss with two interceptions. And 276 with three picks on 56 attempts against LSU. Bama wasn't able to slow down the passing game giving up 253 on 31 attempts.
JFF is a spectacular football player, but just a good passer. Like most every dual threat QB you beat him by keeping him in the pocket.

In fact, just to make you look like even more of a dumbass, Manziel actually ran for 181 yards against Ole Miss before taking out lost yardage due to his fumble and sacks.

We've discussed this ad nausium. The key to beating JFF is a 4 DL set in man coverage with fast-as-frick DBs and LBs.

But we did hold Johnny down well enough to win, and that is the point of this thread. You can't defeat JFF, you can only hope to contain him. That's what these teams did.
