They are 7-2 with him. Without him, I assume everyone agrees they would have lost their two close games to OM and LA Tech. That puts them at 5-4.

So what is the difference in their record going forward with/without JFF?

Lose to Bama, win the rest with JFF...probably the same without him.

This just in: If you take away a teams starting quarterback, they aren't as good.

So all year, you're saying the guy is worth two wins?

I think they'd be 5-4, he won them the games vs. Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss in ways which I don't think the backups could have achieved

Whats Ole Miss' record without Wallace? He runs that offense well.

What a dumb assumption. JFF was a turnover machine against Ole Miss, LT, and LSU. For all you know, Showers doesn't turn it over as much in those games, and we beat OM and LT easily and possibly beat LSU.

Point being, this thread sucks.

Got that, smart guy. Was just curious of your opinion on what kind of impact he has had on this team. How good is TAMU with their second string QB? What kind of win differential?

Showers was QB1 until the last couple weeks of Fall. It is not a huge dropoff from QB1 to QB2 for us.

Who knows? They could be currently 0-9 or even 9-0.How good is the backup? Can he run the same tempo offense? Or is he really the rebirth of Tim Tebow?

To be honest I was surprised JFF was named starter after the fake ID fiasco

I think we would have lost 2-3 additional games with Brunetti vs Wallace up to this point...probably another one game differential through the end of the season, including the bowl.

Our second string QB would start almost anywhere else and the offense barely skips a beat when he is in.

We are hoping he doesn't transfer.

Hey can you tell me what K-States, Oregon's, Bama's, ND's, etc record would be without their starting QB?? This guy is really reaching.

ETA: Lets throw in Florida, SC, UGA, etc.

0-10. We lose every single game plus another one we didn't even play in.

We have a damn good stable of running backs, receivers and quarterbacks for the future.

JFF
Showers
Matt Davis
Kenny Hill

This is not counting Kohl Stewart because he is projected a top 10 MLB draft pick and I Joeckel will never start.
