I think the reason chizik waited so long to play guys like hosley and therezie is so they could watch the older guys and learn from their mistakes.. Therezie and Hosley are probably our most atheltic corners.. Now on the qb thing with Wallace.. Its only hurting him in my opinion.. They need to let him air it out.. Its like telling him they dont believe in his passing ability but hey you can run so do that

Isn't that what we said about Frazier last year? Of course maybe if they had let him air it out last year more he would have had a little more confidence this season. Hard to say.

I don't think letting Wallace throw against LSU would have been too great an idea.

I do agree with you about Holsey and Therezie though. I think you've got to play your best players.

This was not a schedule to play many young kids. We didnt have a choice for some but with playing three ranked teams in the first 4 games, it was too early to put some of these players out there.

This would have been a great year to start with UTC, MSU, LAMO, and UK as our first four games.

We know Kiehl is not tough enough yet to play in this league.. I want to see if wallace will be tough and make good decisions.. Kiehl is scared of messing up and getting hit.. he needs to just let it loose and play.. Im not saying we need to start wallace, but let him get some reps and throw the easy stuff that kiehl cant seem to hit and gradually take it from there..

If Wallace can throw a screen he's in.

Bottom line: if Wallace could do better than Frazier, he'd be the starter. Maybe he'll develop super fast but I doubt it. Frazier will continue to be the guy and I think he'll continue to progress.

I think Davis and Mincy are our best corners, don't have a problem with them starting.

Same here.

I think he lacks confidence in man coverage. Seems like he panics and latches onto the reciever rather than play the ball.

That's what I realy liked about Holsey the other night. He could have attacked the receiver and got called for a PI, but he made a play on the ball.

I can't say this is true in football.

But I've always found I learn more from making mistakes myself. I learn very little from watching others fail

It goes both ways.

I didn't play football, but did play competitive soccer in high school. Yes, you have to play and make mistakes to learn, but I had just as many times where I would watch somebody else mess up on something that I had been struggling with, and seeing why they messed up from an outside viewpoint t allowed me to see how to correct it.

Could Chiz be doing this? Sure.
Could the ayers be progressing and gaining an expanded role? Sure.

This. He's one of the rare CBs we've had on the plains that showed the ability to make plays on the ball like that. It was impressive, and something we lack for the most part.

If I see Mincy throw a shoulder instead of wrap up again, I'm gonna lose it.

bullshite! Chizik has shown the propensity to be very stubborn about benching a struggling player. Just because Wallace has been riding the pine, doesn't mean Frazier is better.
