If you mean Fland, I agree. Wagner was higher rated out of high school though
Boogie's great, but I meant Richmond. I know Wagner was rated higher in high school, but he reminds me of a Muss wet dream. ...
Wagner commits tomorrow
Richmond's better, imo. ...
Since we're righting past wrongs, I'd like to submit that the national champion should have always been awarded after bowl games and thus Arkansas should be the 1965 AP recipient. ...
I thought Hunter Dickinson was higher than that?
The college game has changed.
I agree with this. There was a time when you knew who the best teams would be because they had the most McDonald's AAs. That no longer matters much. ...
Our past history with Ole Miss and LSU was mostly forgotten by the time we joined the SEC. We hadn't played LSU since 1966 and Ole Miss wasn't much of a threat after that series was resumed in the early 80's. Tennessee was the only SEC-e border state and it just made sense that we'd play them. A...
My bottom line is that Cal is almost certainly better than whoever else we would have hired. Although I prefer hiring up-and-comers, like Alabama did with Oats, our track record of doing that hasn't been great in recent times. Even if Cal is no better than his last few years at Kentucky, it would st...
Arkansas' lone week at #1 in the AP Poll was on October 18, 1965. They defeated previously #1 Texas, 27-24, but fell to #2 the following week despite winning the following week, 55-20, over North Texas. Strange voting by the pollsters there, for sure.
22 consecutive wins and a nati...

I'd take either of them, but I'd rather have Cal today. I was getting soured on Muss. Every year his teams would have a big problem and he'd wait until the end of the season to fix it, if it got fixed at all. I'm also not a fan of pro coaching in the college game, because college teams need more ref...
Some coaches are great in the regular season and some are great in the tourney. Although the latter is considered the greater accomplishment, the former does more for prestige and recognition. It was nice having good tournament runs under Muss, but the regular season sucked and were irritating. ...
Funny enough, UConn had never been to a Final Four when Arkansas won it's national championship. ...
Looks like LSU 2 years ago, except for the higher ceiling. ...
We’re trending up but you guys are never going to reach anything close to your past success ever again in these new days.
The difference with basketball is that you only need a good coach and a passionate fan base to win a title, so nobody is ever out of the running. ...
Hard to be 0-2 when you tell them no. ...

I think he's smart for not going the one and done route, but you have to think it was a tough decision for him. ...
March is a different game and only 3 SEC schools know that. ...

I don't know how it compares today, because I don't keep up with other conferences that much, anymore. When we joined 30 years ago, the SWC was 2-3 tough games and several walkovers. The SEC wasn't as good as today, but there would still only be 1-2 walkover games. Arkansas earned it's living ups...
