I have seen programs have coaches do much worse and still didn't get fired.
What hurt Petrino was his terrible reputation. No one liked him and they were waiting for him to slip up and fire him.

Broyles had a reputation as a micromanager. It was a positive when it came to selecting good coaches but it was a bit much after that.

Those losses are over a period of 32 years including multiple losses to Memphis and SMU.
Arkansas historically wasn't a bad program before joining the SEC but these last 30 years are the norm now....

Yes if this was the SEC during the 90s and 00s then those goals would be easier but not now. It would take Arkansas more than just the right hire to be average again. ...

The Kentucky brass is more polished and organized than the Arkansas brass which is hard to get all of them on board about anything. It also helps that they have been playing in a weaker division over the years.
