re: Mr 101 MPH…

I thought this was going to be another Georgia football offseason thread ...
Define "choke." Personally, I don't think failing to win the CWS despite the #1 ranking would qualify as a choke, since no one has managed to do it this century. Now, if they fail to get out of their regional, that would be a choke. Losing their super might qualify, too, depending on the circu...

re: All ACC #1 seeds received a SEC #2 seed
Funny how that worked out, and all the SEC #1 seeds got mid majors as 2 seeds…weird how that works.
Only 2 ACC 2 seeds in the field, and Wake stayed close to home. Georgia got an ACC team as a 3....
Best rule change in recent memory. The host team should always be in their own dugout. They earned in through the whole year
Host team gets to use their customary dugout for every game, but they are not the home team in every game....
I like the confidence that you expect my UCSB Gauchos to advance to the supers. I'm anxious because (A) it's baseball, and (B) it's not often you put a 25-0 record at home on the line in the NCAA Tournament. We can't afford an 0-2 record after going through so many hoops so we could host in t...
I have to say A&M at a 3 seed and matched up with UCSB is about as favorable as you could get. However, tu as our 3 seed is pretty shitty. UL is very solid too. At least we won’t have to even consider throwing Prager with Grambling at the 4.
Zero complaints from me. Texas as a 3 and UL...

re: Frank Anderson

Frank is a good pitching coach, and has been for 30 years. I once got Frank thrown out of a game when he was head coach at OSU, due to his short fuse and tendency to ride the umpires, but I'll admit he's very good at what he does....
If you haven't watched the video, they spend about ten times as much time talking about who makes the field and the seeding as they do about who to send where. I suspect that the committee probably spends a little bit more time on the final pairings and, as a result, I think it will look pretty diff...

re: 16 regional host sites announced
Whats the difference between Arizona and Miss State? One is on the west coast???
That's part of it. The other is that Arizona won their conference regular season and tournament. But, if you leave them out, you can't take Oregon State, and the committee seems to love the Beavers, so we ...

re: the 16 regional hosts

ECU (22 RPI) hosting and Indiana State (10 RPI) not can largely be explained by one fact: ECU's AD is on the committee. The Arizona deal I sort of understand, as they did win their conference and the tournament, so it would be hard to take Oregon State and not Arizona, but, that being the case, w...

re: Regional host sites announced
There are lots of good programs that didn’t have a good enough year to host. They won two midweek games against NC St and took 2 of 3 from UNC early in the season. That’s a fairly slim justification for hosting for a team with the #22 RPI and #29 KPI. They also got swept by Tulane late in the...
Parole officer not a baseball fan?...
How does that help prep for regional or supers or Omaha? Next year it’s going to single elimination
I understand the move to single elimination, and I suppose it makes sense because the overriding objective should be to set the SEC up for success in the NCAA tournament. But the new ...
I've never seen worse defensive play in my life USC. Y'all suck fielding.
The bunt and CF relay were bad, but the ground ball that Ellis misplayed was just the latest by 3rd basemen in this tournament. White was having a tough time early in the game. This infield is playing like asphal...
Especially AT College Station just in time for the 35 year anniversary. Lol
As hot as LSU is, there is a good chance we are going to see them at Omaha if they aren’t in the regional paired with ours. That being the case, I think I’d just as soon do it in College Station as Omaha. ...

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that if LSU is sent to a regional in Oklahoma, the Big XII rep will see that it is to Norman, rather than Stillwater. Sort of a parting "gift" for the Sooners. Probably get Texas sent to College Station for the same reason. Side note: After looking at those br...

Florida is the most vulnerable of the five, but D1 didn’t even have any of the five in their last four in. Thats not necessarily gospel, but it’s a pretty good indication that Floridas chief concern should be how many bid stealers there are. ...
