It's fun watching people sneak around and duck someone or seeing them stick a Koozie under a wiper blade. I don't do it because I'm not in our Jeep much. We got ducked the other day.

You want a mig welder for what you are wanting to do. Local vo-tech should have welding classes.
The instructor there should be able to tell you which welders right for your needs.
