Hard to tell how good John Adams really was or Lincoln. Certainly they made brilliant speeches that they wrote. John Quincy Adams was known as Old Man Eloquent.

Just read back through all these posts. Cal had multiple chances to atone for his puzzling losses and couldn’t do it. Same thing year in year out. If he could have won he’d have done it. I don’t know how Pope will do but at least it will be different and it will be a Kentucky first program. ...
