SEC Baseball Tournament is a hybrid event.
Single elimination on Tuesday.
Double elimination Wednesday-Friday.
Single elimination Saturday & Sunday.
I have thought this format is dumb and dumber. Why? Way too long and it uses up all your pitching if you keep winning. Thus you see teams utilize...

Nope Tennessee’s baseball fan base well worse than any fan base period.
The fact that they are a Johnny come lately is mostly the reason.
Baseball has been a staple at State for 5+ decades, LSU 4 decades, Arkansas, SC, FL, A&M have all been good for decades as well. Even Vandy has been really ...

Exactly true. The early season losses are biting us in the butt.
If we in today and tomorrow I think we may have a chance to host.
But we will be a rough #2 for whoever we get sent to if we don’t host. ...

One good thing for State is Nate Dahm pitching again. He was our Friday night starter at the beginning of the year. But then was out with an injury for about 2 months.
He looked good tonight again.
Good win for our Dawgs. Need to keep winning so we can get into the top 16 and host a Regional. ...

State lost a 2-1 heartbreaker to Stanford in the winners bracket game @ Stanford. Otherwise we might have made it to a SR as well. I think that game just took our sails out of us. And after that we lost to Fullerton in the elimination game.
But a good season overall. ...

MGM is a nice ballpark. Capacity is low but Biloxi would be a good venue.
With 16 teams and everyone making it, why not just rotate the Tournament around the conference the way they do golf, tennis, track etc?
Every 16 years you host the tournament. Just about everyone has a quality ballpark ...
