My parents both grew up in the country but moved to a mid size town in Louisiana to work and raise their family.
Their kids (my sister and I) moved to a bigger towns to work and do the same.
It's just part of life, people migrate.

Not the Airport but I went to an Oakland A’s game one time and it was “trade in a gun for a free ticket day”.
We had no idea until we got there.
Also it was back when they were decent when Ricky Henderson played, no way anyone would trade a good gun in to watch them now....
