Prager, Ash, and Cortez are consistently good to great pitchers. The rest of the staff is wildly variable on any given day. Cortez has a nasty slider that will get him selected on day one in the MLB draft this year. He probably won't be back.

Kentucky has a 5.06 team ERA a full run higher than us.

SEC pitching rankings
ERA
1.Arkansas
2.Tennessee
3.us
7.Kentucky

Opposing BA
1.Arkansas
T-2.us
5.Tennessee
7.Kentucky

K’s
1.Arkansas
3.us
10.Tennessee
14.Kentucky

BB
1.Tennessee
2.us
4.Arkansas
5.Kentucky

Would you like me stop so you can admit you don’t know what you’re talking about or are you going to double down with this “Our pitching is shite” narrative.

- Kentucky's staff is solid top to bottom, nobody great, but nobody terrible.
- UT has some MLB pitchers on staff, and their relief is good. Vitello has made that team into a consistent contender.
- And remember, I said complete team. UK and UT can absolutely mash as well. So can A&M, but they are wildly inconsistent against premium pitching.

I would rate the SEC as UT/UK, then A&M, then Arkansas, then UGA. Arkansas just doesn't have the hitting but their pitching is the best top to bottom.

A&M will see better pitching in the post-season. Especially at the SR level and above.

Sdao-2.72 ERA, 49 K’s to 9 BB’s, 212 OPP BA
Rudis-1.48 ERA, 30 K’s to 10 BB’s, .243 OPP BA
Badmaev-3.10 ERA, 26 K’s to 5 BB, .200 OPP BA
Morton-2.30 ERA, 22 K’s to 17 BB, .113 OPP BA

The only pitcher we have that we should worry about is Tanner Jones.

Then why do we beat Kentucky in every single major offensive and pitching statistical category.

While we are basically statistically tied, we also hold a slight edge over Kentucky in fielding as well.

Because we have a couple of really good pitchers, and some wildly inconsistent ones. They are simply solid top to bottom. Rating the pitching on MLB talent in the SEC ...

Arkansas
Tennessee

A&M/Florida

We will see soon enough. Regular season is over, and it is time to see if a men's A&M team can avoid choking under expectations. Hasn't happened in my lifetime. Apparently we are the current betting favorites to win the CWS

I didn’t think I could take you any less seriously but you just compared our pitching to Florida so you have found a way to accomplish that.

Congrats?

I hope this is the last time I ever have to respond to you because this website needs a block button.

Kentucky has three pitchers that they use that have an ERA under 4.
They have 6 pitchers including 4 starters with ERA’s over 5

Our talent at pitching is comparable to that of Florida. Prager, Ash, and Cortez are all MLB talent. The rest still needs to be developed. Florida has some excellent young pitching talent.

Our hitting is typically better than Florida. If Florida gets into a regional, they will be a very dangerous three seed. Same goes for LSU.

Not a chance in hell against Arkansas next week.

Not a chance. Not a single chance. No way in hell.

Sdao has been coming on lately, and will be needed next year. And I'm surprised we won a pitching duel with Arkansas. Hagen Smith's first loss of the year. I expect Sdao to be a starter going forward, especially next year.

Surprised this team won 2/3 against Arkansas given the hitting issues against elite pitching. I think we got scored a total of four runs against their Friday and Saturday starters ...

They scored 1. If you add in Lamkin to the opener (Rudis) then it jumps to 3. We outpitched and outhit them. We were one mistake pitch from a sweep. Now every ranking shows us ahead of Arkansas just like I told you would happen if we won the series. Did you see coach Schloss tell TA that he was extremely confident we locked up the national seed with the win on Thursday? Also exactly what I said.

I think still need one win in the tournament to lock up a high NS, and easier matchup in the supers. We are expected to go much further than that in the tournament. Personally, I would like to see the second round since we didn't get to play against Tennessee.

I think they are the best team in the SEC

Georgia? The team we beat 2/3? The team that lost to UF when they needed it to earn a national seed?

UGA loses to Lsu 9-1.

UGA and A&M both peaked too early. However, LSU ran their Friday night starter against UGA's midweek starter, so that matters as well. We don't play UGA in the second round because they lost to Florida in the last series.

Instead we play the best team in the SEC if we get that far - Tennessee. I'm interested to see how some of this works in regional play. LSU found their confidence after we blew that series. It jump-started them.

You do know they lost a series to Bama immediately after us, right?
